My dear friend, I hope you are very well by the grace of God. In all my travels and all my preaching, I come across people who say to me, how do you know Saturday is the Sabbath? This question can be dealt with very, very simply, and my message is very brief today. The largest Christian church on the face of the earth is the Catholic church, and is the oldest of all Christian religions. And most other Christian religions will follow the Catholic church without really knowing that they do. The Catholic church recognizes some holy days--there are Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday. Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. No one questions whether Ash Wednesday falls on a Wednesday, or Holy Thursday falls on a Thursday or Good Friday falls on a Friday, or Easter Sunday falls on a Sunday. Yet people routinely question the fact whether the Saturday really is the Sabbath day of the week. They have no problem with Ash Wednesday. Holy Thursday, good Friday, and Easter Sunday. My dear friend, the problem is twofold. Some people are simply dishonest. Others are simply afraid of the consequences of obeying God. It is either inconvenient or they are intimidated by what friends and relatives will say. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. It is Saturday as verily as Ash Wednesday is Wednesday. Holy Thursday is Thursday, good Friday is Friday, and Easter Sunday is Sunday. I told you this message is brief and pointed. My prayer is that the Lord will move upon your heart and upon your mind, so that if this applies to you, you will yield to the inescapable truth that Saturday is the seventh day, the Sabbath of the Lord, as rarely as Ash Wednesday is on Wednesday. Holy Thursday is on Thursday, good Friday is on Friday, and Easter Sunday is on Sunday. By the way, God requires none of those days to be celebrated. He only requires the seventh as the Sabbath, and no one gives it to Him. May the God of creation, the God of the Sabbath reveal to you with blinding light. That Saturday is the seventh day of the Sabbath of the Bible. May the Lord bless you and doubly bless your children as you honestly and sincerely keep the Sabbath holy.
