Welcome to the Transfer Talks Podcast at Northern Arizona University, hosted by the Transfer Jacks Mentoring Program. This podcast is about the transfer student experience, we invite guests to share their stories either as a current transfer student, an alumnus, or staff, or faculty member who was a transfer student. We strongly believe the transfer student experience is different than the first-year experience. This podcast was created to help our university community learn about the transfer experience from transfer students and graduates. It is our hope that this storytelling project will help us better advocate for transfer students' needs and opportunities. We have 20 to 30 people already expressed interest in being recorded during the 2022-2023 academic year, so our hope is you listen to a couple of episodes or more recorded by our Transfer Jack Mentors and staff. As we are in the early launch phase of this project we asked for your patience and understanding as our team learns how to develop this podcast further. To us it's not about the fancy audio or being perfect, it's truly about highlighting the lived experiences of the transfer community. Thank you for tuning in!
