(cameras click, noise dies down) At 12:17am on June 4th, a raid was conducted on Valentino Farm after receiving information from an anonymous source. After a brief sweep was conducted, we secured thirteen hostages including an elderly female we presume to be of relation to our suspect. They were all immediately rushed to Gotham Memorial Hospital for evaluation. The bodies of Officer John Rieger and Enrico Moreno were discovered, as was the body of Detective Safiya Morales. Today, we honour the memory and mourn the loss of three of Gotham City’s finest, and bravest. We grieve with their loved ones today, and in the days to come. Freud said, and I quote: “we are never so defenceless against suffering as when we love.” And there was no shortage of love for these true heroes.
