Hello everyone. This is barely censored. I'm parcel your host, and I'm also masih your host, and today we're just gonna have a chill conversation based podcast around like 3040, minutes of your time. So just sit back, or just do your work or eat food, because we're gonna eat our food as well. As I said, it's a chill conversation based podcast, and we're not gonna censor anything, and it's gonna be fun and educational for you as well. So if you're a teenager, you might enjoy this, and you might learn lots of things from this, because we're gonna cover lots of topic, from educational topics to sports and etc. All right, let's go, man, how are you bro? Great. Thank you. How are you bro, long time? Yeah, it's been a while. Like, of course, that's you in school, but we don't sit down properly. Yeah, we haven't sat down and I haven't caught up with you. Yeah, it's been crazy, bro. Yeah, yeah, bro, it's actually nuts that I actually do this podcast. You know, I know that's crazy. Why don't you? Why aren't you gonna do your own podcast? Yeah, last year, like, not last year. Summer ish, I had an idea for a podcast, and I was gonna do two of my friends. I'm not gonna say their names, just like, who's gonna hear this? But, um, but still, basically, we're just too busy. And one of them wasn't sure if they wanted, like to share personal stuff on recording for everyone to hear, and stuff which I get, like, it's understandable, yeah, that's fine. So that just didn't work out. So just doing this now is like crazy to me, because, like, I got to set it all up, and I don't know you were all ready for it already, bro, I had all the applications, everything. It was just, I don't know, I'm excited, bro, I'm excited. Man, that's good. And then was the podcasting your own idea, or from your school? Well, it was, I wanted to start one, but just because the school, because we had the project, it was, like a good kick start, you know, for for us to start it. So I think if we didn't have this project, like, if those two friends didn't come, that I wouldn't do it. Yeah, um, didn't you go to elementary with those two people? No, no, no. One of them. What did you go to? Elementary School? Bro, elementary I went to because I still in downtown up until, like, grade eight. So I went to, like, elementary, everything in downtown. So, like, the only reason I know anyone, like, when I came to Sentinel first, yeah, all they need to do, which were Armon, Yahya and Arya, like Arya, yeah, and then how I knew them was, paycon is, like this soccer place where you go. And then when we were little, we all used to go. So from there, I just knew Yahya, Arman and Aria, so that kind of just helped me, you know, have someone to talk to and then meet their friends, yeah, kind of ranch off from there. But yeah, I went to downtown. So it's not like I knew anyone specific. Yeah, what happened? They moved to Sentinel, though, because I just moved to Westland apartment up until I really like Sentinel. I know it's a really good, not gonna lie, it's really good. It's like the environment is kind of bad, like the school is kind of sad. If you look at it's like, door center. Is the rumor that they say true, that the person who built it, like, used to build, yeah, is it actually true? That's true. I thought it was a room. No, that's true. Makes sense. There's like, West van. It's so bright, it's so feel. They just feel the real cost more than a school. Yeah, it's nuts. It's so bad, but it's such an actual fear. And there's like, there's richer people going to Sentinel, yeah, I know it doesn't make sense, like there has to be lots of more funding for Sentinel than West Bank, and then at that point, you know, also Westland, an older school, you know, yes, so how does theirs look that much better? Exact, actually, is it? Yes, it's 10 years old. Oh, damn, yeah, it's crazy. There's still no there's no Wi Fi, there's no reception. Yeah, Kenny, there's a damage. No, I'll put telephone towers in your school, bro. The people have, like, bridge properties. Don't want them. The school offered to build it on, like, our school property, because it like ruins the view and stuff. What? Like, what is one tower gonna do for you? I don't know if it was me. I would say, build it. But, like, the residents, it's for your own convenience. What on the topic of elementary in high school? Where did you go? Because I remember when you first came to the school, elementary, no, in high school. Like, I remember when you first came so, and I didn't know you from elementary High School. So like, what was your deal? Man, yeah, that's kind of a long story. So basically, I was born here. I was born in Vancouver. I was born in Lions gates hospital, the one, oh, yeah, yeah. And then, um, I used to go to school here till grade one, and then I kind of moved back to Iran because of my dad's work. And then, um, after that, I studied there till grade eight. And then for grade nine, I just moved here, yeah. And then I moved here and Sentinel and stuff. And, yeah, it was, it was a transition for me, right? Room. It was a hell of a story, but it was worth it, right? When you first walked into my math class, oh, my days. Yo. For those who don't know, he came into the class, and the first thing he said, our math teacher, Mr. Ma, turned to him, he said, Sorry, what's your name? And of course, it was like calorie parts. What is that? It's that? That's a long story, though. That's not what happened. So basically, there were like two persons in that class, and then I was trying to say my family. I didn't meant to say it in that way, yeah, but it was, that was two years ago. Yeah, I believe that. Actually, it's crazy two years ago, last man, we're graduating next year. I can't believe that that's scary. It's actually scary. It's actually scary. Like, you have to say bye to all those people. Like, basically, school was my second home, you know, like, you're out there, like, six hours a day, eight hours a day Exactly. And then, like, think about it, like, of course, you might be in touch with some of them exactly, but a lot of people, when you're older, you're not gonna disappear. You're just gonna disappear. Bro, they were your second family. Yeah, that's kind of scary. So like talking about high school. How do you like high school so far? So far, it's been good. Bro, great. Eight and nine were such a struggle. Bro, oh, there was such a struggle, no, as in, like, terms of, like, school, they were so fun because they were so fun and academic. Board, we didn't do anything. Me and born in grade eight from science. We were 7% no joke, okay, academically was so fun. It was just socially about they were bad years. Why grade eight? Bro, like, just, I wasn't taking care of myself that Well, I was just like, bro, like, the things I would do, like the jokes, the things I would watch bro, like, I would watch anime, like, probably, like, weird animes. It's a face, though, right? It was such, yeah. Like, you know, when you look back at your stuff, like, what is, like, it's, I just cringe, man, I know what you're saying, but it's a phase, I think, like, it's really necessary to go through it, you know? I mean, of course, bro, yeah, but great. Night started getting a lot better. Like, I remember me, you Arman, would hang out me and you would hang out. Grade nine was really fun. Yeah, grade nine was good. Grade 10 was really good. I was going, Okay, so the last week of like, winter break. It's going so, oh my god, bro, it's been so long. It's been so long. We only get two weeks off. I know. Are you going anywhere from too big? I don't think so, just staying on. I think I was staying What about you? I'm gonna work, bro, work. Yeah, good, bro, that's good. Yeah, I've plans to work. And then after lock in, you know, I get you, bro, I'm trying to lock it myself, bro, I took thingy. I took work experience. Did you take it? No, no. You know, I did my course session in August. What do you mean? Why my course selection? Like, I wasn't there when you guys did it? Oh, actually sent, like, email me. He's like, You won't do it now. I'm like, Yeah, that's so bad. So work experience is basically like, um, it's free. Course, you just have to get 90 your hours are worth. Oh, yeah, and then I'm working in a coffee shop right now. Oh, which one it's? Um, just in case, no, it's my family owns the coffee shop. Actually, the name is masih Mohajer, where you ride it mangas, mangas, but it's margin French. My French is not, oh, it's in downtown. Okay, we'll have to make sure next episode we have our sponsor. Man, yeah, and then yes, and then I've been working there. We got it, like, two months ago. Okay, so it's fairly new, that's what like I remember, it's not new. The business has been going around for like, 20 years, but no one recognizes the place. Yeah, marketing strategies were really bad, so my dad kind of, like, bought the place and like, he's, like, taking over. That's good, bro. That's good to hear. I know it's been good so far. I know you that I feel like he can turn around, yeah, it's been it's been good so far. That's good to hear. Man, that's good. Yeah, thank you, man, thank you. Of course, bro, you gotta come one day, bro, I got you are a new sponsor. I'm telling you right now, because our sponsor right now, well, of course, we'll announce, as soon as we get access to the product, we're gonna, of course, as Parsons said in the beginning, we're gonna eat the product. So, yeah, as soon as it, Let's not spoil it. Yeah, let's not spoil it for these guys. Yeah, I think it should be here soon, but I'm not gonna get ahead of myself. Um, but anyway, so yeah, work that's really good, right now, I'm trying to get my resume together just so I can go work just for like, quick cash and experience, but like, nothing too serious. We were talking about school before. So like, just a question to, like, get you thinking, yeah, what do you think about the concept of school, Masih, like, is it a good concept? Do you think? Like, what was the purpose of it being me? It really depends. Like, it's it's a hard question to answer, because, of course, like to get to college or university and stuff you're gonna need to know. So like, let's say, for example, like, engineering, yeah, it's not like, you can just go learn it in like, two months or something. Like, it takes a lot of time, and, like, a lot of skills that you just gather through the years. So I think in the case of, like, going into a certain profession, of course you need school, and I think you regularly need school as well, yeah. But the part that I don't understand, like, personally, is, what are teachers and parents always asking us, bro, what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do in the future? What do you want to be? Right? Yeah. And they expect us to know by like, the end of grade 10, grade 11 ish, right? So in grade 11 and grade 10 and grade 12 and stuff, why do we have to take all the courses like, social science, math, if we know what we're gonna do. And, like, I get people, like, change their minds later on, but like, I don't know. Like, I feel like it should be more tailored to you, instead of trying to get everything, yeah, well, in my opinion, um, you know, it's a good thing. It's a good concept. Like, I'm not gonna talk about, like, why it was made and stuff, but I kind of did my research and then, um, as you said, if you know what you're gonna do, if you know your purpose, it's a really good thing. Like College, like, if I want to be doctor, of course, I want to study science. Oh, your food here. Put your food here. Food is here. You'll talk to the audience for a second. While I get yeah, as I was saying, it's a good concept. And then all the food is here. All right, let me get some quick tap, yeah, and then, um, if you know what you're gonna do, it's a good thing for you, but if you don't, um, it's a phase. It's definitely a phase. But um, the question that, are you gonna go to school or not is definitely for yourself to make no one else, but it's definitely good experience, and more than 99% of people go to school every day. So a lot of people, the food is here. They have food here. So while I'm actually getting it set up, let's just talk about our sponsor for today's podcast. Huh? You can do it more than me. Whoa. So our sponsor for today's podcast is actually five guys. Wow, five guys burger. They decided to help us out. And you know, it's just a pleasure working with such a big fast food chain that we love like a lot, like, I remember when me and Corsa hung out once fries are in this dude, everything is insane. Bro number two, no, wait, I put mine in first. Wait, does that have a receipt or something? I wish, but yeah, so they're sponsoring us. So sandwich two has extra Patty, Mayo, stuff like that, masih. And then we have the fries in the middle as well. So yeah, I remember our first Hangout, the meals, drinks. Yeah, I can go get some finish with Yeah. Tell them about that time we went to five years. Oh yeah, yeah. We used to go to five hours, a lot, actually. And then a cool thing, if you you guys, definitely went to five guys. But a cool thing that they do is that they give you free peanuts to eat. And I actually did some research about that. And the goal of that is actually first one to tell you that, um, to, like, keep you busy to your food comes. And then the second purpose is that, to tell you that everything that they use is healthy, and they use peanuts for everything, yeah. Masih, while we were going, I was talking about the um concept, that they give free peanuts, free peanuts, where they get free peanuts before? Yeah, you never noticed that. No, what? Even when we went we didn't get free peanuts. Yes, we did. That's the whole point of the restaurant. I remember that. So as I was saying, um, oh my God, look at my birthday. Bro, wow. It's like, the most cool thing on planet earth. No, it's like, it has, um, couple of purposes. And the second purpose is to tell you that everything is healthy, and they actually use peanut oil to make the fries fresh. So, like, that's a cool thing. Yeah, man, it's really good, is it? Yeah, I remember we went hot, hung out once in just eight, five guys. I know, no, that's the first time I ever tried it. That was the first time I ever tried five guys. You like, it's really good, yeah, it has, um, it was the candidate for best burger for 20 um, consecutive years or something. That's just crazy, bro, yeah. I mean, it is really, oh my God, look at this. But it's actually beautiful. You guys. I actually feel bad that you guys can't see this. Yeah, you guys can, just like, hear the food. Just imagine it, man. But yeah, we're really happy that five guys is our sponsor. Um, so, yeah, while we eat, what is your favorite food? Um, man, definitely. Burger. Here, definitely this. Five Guys specifically. Have you ever tried in and out? No, no, but I really want it's so good. So if you want to go to in and out, go to in and out, get a burger and get the animal fries. It's sort of got that to put salt in the burgers or something. I heard, like, salt makes it better. I heard, yeah, something like that. But it's so good, bro. When did you go, um, around, like, couple years ago. It was only in LA, right? Yeah, California, yeah. And then that's the bad thing about it. I don't know why they don't give franchise. Well, man, don't I know one of Keynes and Vancouver, so bad. I don't know why they don't give the franchise for it. Yeah, I don't like, why not expand, you know? Yeah. But case is overrated, not gonna lie with you. Where's huh? Where's operator cane raising grains? Yeah, apparently it's not that good. I haven't tried it, but one of my friends said it wasn't that good. Hmm? Bahar said it wasn't good. No, that's actually nuts, bro. Everyone says it's like really good. I see them dipping, like, a whole cup of sauce and stuff, bro. Like, obviously, it's good, but she just said it's overrated, you know. But, like, so that means it was probably expensive for what she got. Yeah, probably, uh, I don't know, it could be worth it. I think it just depends on, like, No, I don't know. It's just chicken, man. I feel like, what's the difference between that Popeyes and KFC? Like, it's just the sauce, yeah? Like, let's be real, exactly. That's what I'm saying. It's overrated, you know? Like, it's just a sauce. And the sauce, it's so it's literally so easy to me. Yeah, I saw videos on everything. Yeah, it's just like, ketchup, Mayo, mayo and Worcestershire sauce. Bro, yeah, I wanted to try making but I couldn't find, like, the Worcestershire sauce anywhere, bro, it's so hard to find. I don't know why, but, um, yeah, so your favorite food is burgers. Like, wait, like, where's your favorite favorite? In and out? Oh, yeah, what's your favorite food? I don't it's really hard to decide it's like a top two. Honestly, for me, it's like, between, I'd say, like, chicken alfredo pasta, uh huh, oh, that's or sabzi, pono, mohiro, oh, Persian food. Yeah. Like, okay, so you gotta, you gotta go tell them. Yeah, I gotta tell them what this is. So for the people that don't speak Farsi, sadzi pono, Mahi is like a traditional dish where it's fish, like dill rice, actually, that's literally it. But like, is really good. And like, you have like garlic and like tomato sauce, and like, bro, tomato paste, not tomato sauce. That sounds disgust. And then there's like, um, herbs and the rice, yeah, it's so good for anyone that isn't Persian, go try sabzi on my if you don't like it, Sumi. But look, there's better fruits, though, no, there's 100% better foods. But, like, that's just my favorite. If I sit on like, the like, on the table, I'll be so happy, man, actually. Oh, I also love macaroni salad. Macaroni salad. It's like macaroni, like the Persian one. No, no. It's like a, like a white dish. I think it's like macaroni, like mayo, bell peppers, peppers, it's hard to describe, but I just really like it like I've always liked it since, since I was a kid. So I, for me, burger is the best. Like, how can you possibly not like this? Of course, burger like pieces of Patty that's all around protein. It has carbs, it has fiber, bro, it is everything, especially this one guys. Definitely check out five guys, our sponsor, and then make sure to use referral code parser plus Masih, okay, what am I even saying? Um, but yeah, food. I love food, man. So, okay, so this is, like, I know it's kind of like a basic question that, like, everyone is asking each other nowadays, but like, what's your plans for after high school? Oh, man, definitely the thing I've been thinking about a lot recently, but definitely University. Like, what university to go to, what to do, what to not to do, but like, which university for? Like, what, like, what do you want to be? Bro? Um, let me like, career wise, I really want to get into business. And then before that, um, like, everyone's trying to get into UBC and stuff. But for me, I just don't like to say Vancouver, you know, yeah, I just want to go to the I just want to go to LA. Like, either people. Want to stay in Vancouver, or they don't? Yeah, no, because it's small, and then everyone just knows I get it, but that's what I like about it, man, why I don't like, I don't say Vancouver, as long as I can, it's I love, just like the environment, like it's not flat, like, you know, Toronto, Tehran, stuff like that. It's just so flat. There's so much highway, bro, here, like, there's hills, there's, like, a beach, there's forest, it's, it's so diverse, you honestly have everything, literally, and then you know so many people, you know that could that has its downsides too, I think later on, but like, for now, definitely later, later on, I think, yeah, that can be bad, though. Like, imagine, like, you go to the doctor, like, Yo, I can't breathe, and it's like the guy you know, who is chatgpt for literally everything. How did you become a doctor? Yeah, you gotta have your private life, you know, when you know everyone around you, that's not the best vehicle. Is not the best place for you. Yeah? So I want to stay in Vancouver as long as I can, maybe not my whole life, but, like, a fair bit of it, like, I don't know, I grew up here, well, not fully, like I was anywhere until I was six, uh huh, and then I came here for my seventh birthday. Then I've just been here since then, ketchup. No, true. Thank you, though. But, yeah, I just love it, man, like this. Where are you? Where do you want to go to university? It really depends. Honestly, I'm thinking about it because, you know, there's something that, if your parents really want you to do, and logically, like, it makes sense, yeah, but like, there's something that you want to do exactly, like, my parents really want me to become, like, like, my dad wants me to become a software engineer. Like, I take courses for I take classes. Like, I do it in my free time. Like, I feel like that's a good one for me. My mom wants somebody to become a lawyer, and I like law, but like, I really like business as well, bro. Like, it's just a hard pick, because it's not like they're they work together in any way. So it's not like I can go into law and then, like, five years later decide I want to go to business. It's just stressful phase, though. I know it's horrible, like, I don't know I'm trying to get into a business as well, but it's really hard, man. I don't know. Like, if you want to get into a good, solid university, you need average of at least like 93 like, I know the grades are so high. I know every time, like, report cards come out, I just cry. 90 fours. What's your average? I did. I'm like 85 average. Yeah, I gotta, I gotta go. It's really my math isn't good at all, and needed my French, no, but for French, like, I transferred in like, a month late, so I missed on, like, like, two tests, so that could be something, but I'm getting those up, bro. Like, it's not hard. I have to get around to it, yeah, you just have to, like, put your mind into it, all right? Well, yeah, bro, but yeah, it's, it's hard times right now. Yeah, I've been studying a lot, man, but I feel like I can't play video games anymore. Why? Because there's so much study that you can ask. Like, the only time I have from video games anymore. It's like, maybe, like, four or five hours on the weekend, like weekdays. I can't anymore. Like, I'll never play that much video games, to be honest with you. Well, I always play video games like, that was my whole life, actually, yeah, bro. Like, it feels weird to not play as much anymore. What do you think about video games, like, do you think they're beneficial for the teenagers and so 100% actually, yes, bro. Like, how would they not be like, I guess some games could have, like, um, problems or downsides for teens, like their mental health. But I think just overall, like, the positives are way more than the negatives. Bro. Like, you know siege r6 Yeah, basically, for those who don't know, r6 is a first person shooter game. It's like five, e5 where you have to defuse and plant bombs, and it's just a very tactical game. But, bro, the average IQ of a siege player is 100 like, 30 or something actually, like, that's so high for video games. Like, I think, especially as boys, I feel like we used to use it, or still do use it as an escape. Like, that's from what I hear from most one like these video games is an escape, because, like, the reality, yeah, like saying it now it feels kind of weird to say it, but like it's kind of true. Yeah, it does feel kind of weird. It feels kind of like I don't know how to say it. Yeah, like it feels I actually did some research about this, and I was surprised that there's some of them are actually beneficial. Well, some video like Fortnite actually makes you smarter. How. Yeah, did you lot of, lots of strategy, man, I know. But like, it's just like the old times. Like, if you think about it, your ancestors were like strategizing to, like, go to war. You're like strategizing to, like, go to war, talking about four now, let's just go. It's kind of the same thing. Just like thinking about what you're what you have to do, that's, I guess, yeah, because like, have you seen those people that build, like, we played with Ryan or Cheyenne, yeah. Oh, my, they build them. Like, how does your brain actually take all that influence? I know? Like, I don't get it, man, it's what I'm saying. Some people actually really smart. It takes a lot of IQ, yeah, that's another thing I want to ask you about Me and our mom had this conversation before where you know how some people, like, will say everything is about school and some people will see they're not school smart, but they're like, street smart, bro, yeah. Like, what are your thoughts on that? Because me and our mom said, if someone said this street smart, it just means they're not school smart. But like, I think school smart is, of course, important, but like, I feel like it's not the primary thing, exactly like, I just want to get your opinion on this, excuse me. So, um, the thing you said actually has a term called socially smart, and that's actually a thing. Um, there's some people like, if you pay attention, like, I don't know you, but like me. For actually, not me, but you, for example, you might, like, you might be bad at math, but you might be really good at chemistry. Like, maybe you know what I'm saying. Like, every person is good at something, and like, when you're good at something, I might, I might not be that good at it. And, um, I don't really think there's a concept of saying, like, I'm not socially I'm not school smart. Like, it's just trying. You know, if you're socially smart, you're gonna be like, school smart as well. Exactly like, I feel like that's just an excuse people make to like, not try. Yeah, I actually hate that. I know when people, like, try to make excuses, that's what I feel like. That's why I don't share Sometimes, though, like, my feelings because, like, let's say you're saying, oh, like, My arm got chopped off, like I can't do anything. There's like, a kid in front of you that, like, doesn't have legs and like, as is missing my like, I feel like there's people that are dealing with more stuff. So I feel like I shouldn't be complaining. Just put my head down. Just do what I can, bro, it's hard though sometimes, bro, yeah, that's a proper way to do it. But like talking, someone can also help. Yeah, talking, of course it helps. Maybe, like voice club, the purpose of boys club was, yeah, that that's what boys club is about. Maybe tell people about boys club, like, Yeah, good idea, actually. So boys club is a mentorship program for young boys and men to help them become better men and to just gain access to info that they might not be able to get regularly, or senior mentors and role models and stuff. And there's only boys in it, only boys. So we basically have a chapter at our school. It's run by someone called Walter mustapich. He's the CEO and founder of boys club network, and we have meetings every Thursdays where we kind of just go in and we get pizza, and then we usually just talk about a certain subject, or we just talk about our feelings, and it's supposed to be safe. But let me quiz you. What is the number one rule of boys club? Bro, whatever is set in boys club stays in boys club. Yes, sir, he remembers this. You see that he knows. So that is the number one rule. And one of the purposes of like, making this club was actually, like, the suicidal rate of men was way higher than women. No, it's 80% of men commit all suicides. That's what I'm saying, 80 okay. Now I don't think that's true, though. No, no, not, of like, not 80% of men of all suicide Oh, bro, 80% of all suicidal men. Oh, yeah, but, um Yeah, actually, roller because, because men, you know, like, um, I'm not trying to be sexist or anything. But females talk, you know what? I mean? Yeah, they have like, groups. They're friends, exactly. Girls talk and they get each other. But men, they're either scared to talk, because men aren't supposed to have feelings. Yeah, the thing that we like taught our children way back ago, yeah, we're like, mention and cry, yeah, they don't talk, either because of that, or either because they're scared that, like something bad might happen to them, bro. Like, that's such a big and the whole purpose of boys club was this, yeah, to just share exactly place where you can share. And then they actually have a really good thing that each each meeting, they, um, give out pizzas. Yeah, and that's actually multifaceting. So the first one might be some people might not afford, like, lunch and stuff like, who knows?
