Episode 23 (00:01.618) We can now. Let's just give it a pause before you open it. Pause? So that way we can edit it? duh. Episode 23 (00:21.426) there you are, my dear. chug it, chug it. The bubbles are so satisfying. They really are. I really wish that the listeners could hear the bubbles. I know. I tried, but didn't work out. That's all you can do is give it a shot. Just give it the good old college try. I've never understood that. Why do they say that? Because people tried in college. I mean... Yeah, you gave it a shot. You tried something new. And it didn't work for some people. I mean, it doesn't. It's college isn't for everybody. Yeah, that's ain't that the truth. Yeah. now, regardless of what you went into or the school that you went to. Yeah. Or the state of mind with which you were in. There's a lot of factors, but. You know, I actually heard something interesting this week. We have an intern at work who is also in architecture school, but in Oklahoma. And that face of... Wait, they commute? No, like she goes to school in Oklahoma, but summer right now. I took summer classes. How was that kid? You're good. You're good. So yeah, she's interning with us and she was telling me how they have a kind of an AIA related committee. OK. And club committee, whatever you want to call it. AIAS. Yes, AIAS. I was a member. Of course you were. So she was saying that it is something that they do where before every studio. presentation, like at the end of the year when you're going to present your project that you worked on for all semester, both the students and the critiques, the critics. The judges? Yes, the judges. The jury? Shut up. Both sides have to sign a form saying that they are there just to, for collaboration. Episode 23 (02:38.098) and for what's it called when you give critiques but they are to help you. Feedback? Feedback, but like... I don't know what you're trying to like, criticism? Constructive. constructive criticism. Thank you. Constructive criticism. So they're there to give you constructive criticism and you are there to receive that and also give it because you know how it goes. So both sides have to sign that form. That's shocking. And if they go like, not if, like when they sign that form and they go through it, if let's say a professor, is less than that. Less than desirable? Yes. When they're not as constructive as you'd like them to be and it just feels like they're tearing you down, then you can kind of write them up in a way and you can complain. What? And I guess if there's enough complaints, it will get taken to... I don't know if it's the dean or who, but the school has to address this. my gosh. Does that mean you can get fired from... being a jury member? I guess. What? I guess they can like at least address it with the professor and be like, hey, you need to be more constructive with what you're saying. Like this isn't just to tear them down. This is to help them. And I was mind blown by this. I was like, my school did not do that when we did that. And she said, yeah, we do it. And I've heard that other schools are starting to adopt this way too. And I was like, I love that. Okay. New era. Catch 22. Yes. a bunch of sissies and get their feelings hurt and can't handle these professors just ripping them new assholes. All of that also to say that there were some really mean professors that I saw made students cry and that also smashed models. Well, so and on that note, that's the thing. I think they're finding a happy medium where like if one kid complains because they just didn't like getting negative feedback, Episode 23 (04:48.882) it's not going to go very far. That's true. But if enough people complain about the same person, it has more backing to it. And it's like, hey, we see this is happening. We've heard from others. Let's work on this. That's valid. Then it's not so terrible. And it's not an instant. We're not talking like fired off of just teaching in general. No, just off of the jury. Yeah. Like you shouldn't be critiquing other people's projects if you can't have anything good to say. Okay. as well as the bad. Because trust me, nobody's project is perfect. But at the same time... You strive. Well, I strove. I tried to make it perfect. I'm a perfectionist and I hated it if it was anything less than. But you get to where you're so burnt out and so dead that you can only take so much. And life happens too. Honestly. And I had this idea and I said, hear me out. What if... people started submitting their projects anonymously. So favoritism could not play in. It was then it would be based solely on whether your project was good or not. Now she said in her school, this wouldn't really work so well because they didn't really get graded on their presentation necessarily. Or, yeah, she said that they got graded on the effort they put throughout the year in their progress. And I was like, okay, my school did not do that. My school when I was going there, a lot of the professors did it like partially on your progress and partially on your final presentation. So like if you just didn't try at the very end, it would show. Yeah. So that happened a lot. But like, I don't know, I kind of maybe maybe I'm the I'm the devil on the little shoulder being like, do it anonymously. I kind of like the anonymously factor. That's a pretty cool factor. The hard part with that is your professor's not going to be able to sit in on anything. But they've already graded you on your progress. They've seen you work on it and get somewhere. That's true. So like the whole point of this, they don't usually put a lot of feedback in anyways because what are they going to say? That bridge was a stupid idea. And you're like, you told me to put this bridge in here. Dude, no, I didn't. Those professors. Do this. You do it. Episode 23 (07:07.026) Why did you do that? That's stupid. It doesn't work. No, my favorite was when someone else would look at your project and be like, why did you do this? And you look at them. They're sitting like two seats away and you you make eye contact and you're looking at them and all your eyes are saying, save me, please. I beg you. And they look at you like, I don't know you. Yeah. And no. says anything and finally you give up and you're like, I just really thought it would tie it together. And they're like, well, you didn't think that through. And you're just internally dying. Like, I was told to do this and maybe that was on me for blindly listening, but that's the same person who grades me. So I kind of have to do what you say. And that's, that's architecture people. man, I hated that. Especially when you're in your... final presentation, your final jury for the semester. And one of the jury members is like, that's really stupid. Why would you do that? And then you just light over to the professor and then you try to defend. Sometimes they would listen to you trying to defend your honor and why you did what you did. But then other ones would just rip you a new a hole and you just had to stand there and take it and be like, so stupid professors, f***g idea. Trying to get a man. Also in advance, number one, this is something new. We're looking into possibly videoing ourselves. I'm sorry, we're what? God, I'm stuck. We're recording visually ourselves. We're going to test it out and see if it's worth a damn. Number two, I have a cough that will not go away. I apologize. I can't do anything about it. I will try to cough as off. screen off mic as possible, but sorry in advance guys. Yeah, you just gotta do what you gotta do. So, I'm about to shift us. Okay, shift. Pivot! Pivot! Friends. So, my mother, my lovely, loving mother, I get to know when she's listening to an episode because I usually get... Episode 23 (09:29.266) some kind of feedback in the form of yelling at me through text. And I never see it coming. I'm just in the middle of work and I get yelled at. What did I do? Is it on podcast days usually? It's off podcast. I'm minding my own business on a random Monday and just boom. It's in my face. And you were out of town. So I really had myself and Cole to share this with, right? Yeah. So... I'm sorry, this was a Friday. So it was like the day after. That's not bad. No, of course not. But she's listening to the episode where I brought up getting a spongebob tattoo. Was that 20? I think so. I think so. I think so. Yeah. So because mind y 'all, we record these in bulk, not bulk, but like in two. Yeah, we try to get it a little bit in advance. That way we have a... life happens and we have to cancel or we can't record or somebody's sick. And also give each other like off Friday so that way we can like live our life. Yeah. Jinx. Anyways. So my mother, she texted me out of the blue at one o 'clock on a Friday and she goes in all caps, do not get a freaking SpongeBob tattoo with like five exclamation points. Under that, I will take you off of my will. Two exclamation points. So I look at that and I go, maybe I already got it. You will never know. Poke. With the little like bland smiley face of like just I'm dead inside the. Yes. You poke the bear. Yeah. So she goes, I will literally disown you. To which I had to say, but I'm already 30. What are you gonna do, kick me out? And she goes, that is the worst part. I just laughed at that. And she goes, a grown up doing a SpongeBob tattoo. And I said, it's nostalgia. And she sent the little face with like the squinty eyes like... So at this point I had sent it to Cole because I thought it was hilarious. I think it's hilarious as well. And so Cole came back with... Episode 23 (11:55.762) guess we got to get tats now, lol. So I sent it to her and I said, listen, I bring great impulse purchase to the podcast. Also, Cole is on board now. And to that she said, he's off the will too. man. Y 'all got both kicked off. We got both kicked off of the will because what do we do? We go, we go for the jugular. mama, Tamez, I am not getting a SpongeBob tattoo. Can I get put on the will? Just my name gets crossed off and Loren gets put on. I mean, okay. Double, triple, quadruple, wink, wink, wink, wink. That one looked like I had a little bit of Tourette's straight. Don't mind that. You're a little twitchy sometimes. Sometimes, sometimes. At least I'm not jumpy. Well, I'm not. You can be. Especially if you have enough Red Bull in you. that's different. that's different. That's caffeine induced. On a regular basis, I'm not typically that jumpy. Although, Jeff would say otherwise. So my dad and brother used to like hide in the closet and like jump out at you all the time. Evil. Yeah, because we had a hallway. And so all of our bedrooms are at one end of the house. And then our living space in the kitchen was at the other end. Yeah. And there was a hallway. OK. So at the end of the hallway, there's a closet. And those boys. got so good at opening the closet very quietly because it had bifolding doors too. So it was challenging. Like why do they have to be good at that? They got so good. Like probably could have put that on a resume. Like that good. I'm a sneaky sneak. Seriously. So they would hide in there and they would try to get each other. Yeah. Well then it didn't scare each other. So then they would try to get me and my mom. Yeah. But I got so like... Episode 23 (14:04.722) told to it that I was like, y 'all need to do better than this. Like it's not even scary. But then you could hear my poor mom walking down the hallway and then just somebody jumping out and go, rah! And then she would scream. Yeah. So I got very accustomed to just randomly having my dad or my brother jump out of something or somewhere and scream. But since having lived out here and not having that as a constant, at least every day, once a day, I have gotten a little bit more jumpy. And Jeff and Reeves have both scared me a couple times. so that's going to become a thing now. Yeah. I think I don't think Reeves realizes it just yet. So I'm good on the Reeves front. But Jeff, he'll just walk into a room and he like, I don't hear him or anything. And then I'll turn around and I'll be like, my God. And like sometimes they'll scare me so much that I'll be like bent over on my knees like, God. OK, I'm awake. Yeah, my heart is beating so fast. And then he's like, I literally just walked in the room like I didn't do anything. But I will be so focused like I'm hyper focused on what I'm doing. So I'm not aware, paying attention. Yeah. And I don't expect them to come in and do anything. So that's where it gets me. OK. Yeah. OK. So Cole. Cole does this thing where he likes to stand in the crack of a door where the hinges are, if it's visible to the other room and see how long it takes me to notice. My problem is I'll notice and then I'll go back to what I'm doing. and then the poor man's just standing behind the door. Yeah, because I think that's even funnier. And I think the other day I was walking into the kitchen and he was standing behind... pantry door, like he left it 90 degrees open so he could stand behind it. But my room was like, well, why else would that be open? So I knew he was going to be on the other side. So I just like peeked around like, what you doing? He's like, I was going to surprise you. I'm like, don't do that. I think it's just like ingrained in boys to just jump out and try to scare us or do that. They like, they think it's funny. Interesting primal actions. Yeah. Episode 23 (16:29.906) But I mean, I feel feel even in the animal kingdom, they do that shit. Yeah. Yeah, I can see that. Pretty sure I've seen like lions just like all of a sudden, sudden, he'll sneak up on her and then she'll be like, pow, pow, pow, pow, motherf***r. So that's what we're doing wrong. We're not pow, powing. I mean, I think I think that probably has something to do with it because I'm trying to think out loud and usually I just go. Grab my heart because I'm about to have a heart attack. You're the silent one who just like mimes up. Like I stop breathing for a second. My mom always screamed, but she always went like this and tucked everything in. So in the fight or flight, she's kind of neither because she's not punching, but she's not running. Yeah. OK. Now, if I was... She's bracing it. Yes. Yeah. Now, being in my home, there's no reason for me to have my guard up. Because why would somebody just randomly just come out of nowhere? Now when I'm out and about, I'm very aware of my surroundings. And if somebody's going to come up, I am going to start swinging immediately. You know, you know all about stabby stabby. I know very well about your stabby stabby. Don't play Priscilla. Stabby stabby will come up later. Yes. I mean, we have time if you want to talk about stabby stabby. I am down. We got... We got the story of when it got introduced to us because you had to give it to a fellow coworker. Yeah. Yeah. So we were working very late. I don't even know what time we left. Like nine or 10 probably. No, I think it was later than that. That was one of those midnight nights. Well, no, but like she stayed till like midnight or later and she told us she was going to. Yeah, she stayed till one o 'clock in the morning. That's what it was. And she got in trouble. We were leaving around like nine or 10. Yeah. And we were like, OK, it's late even for us. Why are you still here? Yeah. She said, I'm going to keep working. Yeah. And then that's where it was like, Mama Bear. Yeah. Like pre baby or anything. But Mama Bear was like, no, girl, you are not staying here by yourself. Number one, without any protection. So my first question I said, do you have anything to protect yourself? And she's like, no, I'll be fine. Sweetest girl in the whole wide world. Little delicate flower. Yeah, it would not hurt. Episode 23 (18:50.29) a fly. Probably not even a mosquito. She would probably just be like, live your best life little mosquito and suck my blood. That is her summed up. You can't tell me otherwise. So I was like, no ma 'am. So I went and got my pocket knife and I gave it to her and I said, if somebody comes up, this is what you're going to do. And I taught her how to use it, showed her how to use it, told her what to do. I said, do not throw this. I said, you're going to hold it in your hand, you're going to stabby, stabby, stabby, stabby. So then it was dubbed the stabby, stabby. Yeah. Yeah. And you know what? It did well. I did. You don't have to use it. No, she didn't. But no, the best part was you were trying to tell her that sometimes it sticks. So you're like, the stabby stabby sometimes gets a little sticky, sticky, but it can do the job. Yeah. I forgot about the sticky sticky. Yeah. my God. That was a good pocket knife. It was. memories. I have no idea where it is. Really? Yeah, somewhere in my house. You don't just always have it in your back pocket anymore? Not really a good idea with a two -year -old that gets into literally everything. I'd have like holes cut out of my drywall and like stab marks. The boy, he has a fake knife to cut his vegetables in his kitchen. And the other day he took it and was just stab stabbing the couch and I was like, no. We woke up and chose violence this morning. Like what's going on? Who gave you the wrong juice? Exactly. So I'm not even going to give him the opportunity. Okay. That's fair. Yeah, no ma 'am. Okay. Well, you want to get started? Let's do it. All right. Let's do it. All right, Priscilla. This is what I bring to you. It's always coffee related with you. Yeah, I love coffee. okay. What I have here is a coffee mug and it says I'm currently experiencing life at several WTFs per hour. And if that is not the most accurate thing that I have ever read in my entire life, I don't know what is. I actually, yeah, I'm on board with that. That's how I feel lately at work. Yes. And I find that actually really funny because I think I thought about that today. We've Episode 23 (21:15.57) that when we don't chat at all that day, it's been hella busy and that's been all week. And that's, that's. Yeah, we shared like maybe two messages all week. Yeah. And that's not typical. That's atypical. That is a busy f***g week. I swear I was like in the middle of sending two emails at the same time, but my emails include like. talking to other people to get stuff out of them to then like wrap it all up together. And I was doing that with two different emails, but to the same people. And I felt like I was in the matrix. Like just maneuvering. I was maneuvering over here. And I was like, is this what an adult is? Because no one explained that to me. Unfortunately. And then I'm just wondering, how do I have so much energy right now? And then I remembered I was getting a migraine and took Excedrin and I was like, yeah, that'll do it. Let's keep going. And then like a co -worker of mine was like, what, you don't drink coffee? I was like, yeah, no, I do caffeine pills. And they looked at me and this cracked me up so hard. He gave me a look and I said, it's legal, I swear. I don't know why that was my first response. It's over the counter, y 'all. It's fine. H .E .B. sells it. Walgreens sells it. It's all good. Yeah. Although Walgreens was a little surprised that they sold it when I bought it the last time. They're like, we sell these? Yeah. They didn't even know. They didn't know. I mean, it's really hidden in their entire store. It's teeny tiny little bottle called Awake. That's all. anyways. But yeah, so he gave me a funny look. I'm like, it's legal, I swear. And he goes, no, it's not that. It's just. That would get my system going. And I'm like, yeah, it does. And he goes, no, the other way to go, yeah, it does that too. Just like coffee. Works the same way. He's like, that's too fast acting for me. And I was like, valid to each their own. I thought it was crazy. The first time you told me about caffeine pills, I was like, you do what? You're like, no, yeah, I don't I don't drink really any energy drinks. I don't. Episode 23 (23:35.282) do coffee and I was like, what? What do you mean you don't do coffee? It's it's the equivalent amount of one cup of coffee. yeah, no, I don't judge you anymore. But at first, I judge the shit out of you. I know. Because I love coffee. So I don't understand how other people don't like coffee. But that's also coming from. There's a good amount of people in my family that drink and live. coffee, it runs to their veins. And then there's other people in my family that don't touch the stuff. My mom thinks it smells amazing, but she thinks it tastes disgusting. Same. So for me, it takes a really sweet coffee, like a mocha or something, to ingest it. And then at that point, I'm putting too much sugar in it that I'm going to crash anyways. That's valid. So I think... My dad had heard from like a doctor or somebody, somebody was advising him. Somebody professional was advising him like, Hey, your coffees have way too much sugar in them. Like just do something like a caffeine bill or whatever if you want that caffeine, because it's just too much sugar. And so he had said that. So I grasped onto that and was like, done. And that's when I started and I'm not going back because it's way more convenient and... I'm not having to take anything with like sugar just to like be able to down it. Yeah. And in general, it's just faster. So, yeah. And I only do like one a day. Yeah. At most one a day and at least like maybe, I don't know, three times a week. Okay. Because I'm noticing like I don't always need it. Yeah. So it's just for like days I'm dragging. I always need coffee. I wake up like I crave coffee 24 seven. Yeah. I love coffee, like coffee off coffee. I love it. So I always want the coffee, but I don't add a lot to my coffee. Yeah. And like there's times that I'll drink it black, like no whole bar. I don't know how you do that. Yeah, Jeff will even be like, how are you doing? I'm drinking coffee. Why? Why? Like, because it's delicious. Why not? Like, well, we don't have cream or sugar or milk or anything. Episode 23 (25:56.754) It's like, but I need the coffee, I need the caffeine man. I need it. I need it. I love it. So the fact that this mug says that I'm currently experiencing life at several What the Fucks per hour. Hilarious. Do you have one of these mugs? I have this brand. They sell this brand at Bucky's. So I knew that they sold this brand at Bucky's. It's the El Arroyo brand. Would you like to say it in the non? no, I don't say the brand. Why? Just try. Nope. Literally a white accent. It's all good. Just do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. L -a -ro -io. Yeah, you did it. Hashtag white as f*** You said it perfect. You're nice. You're being nice. I'm not. No. Anyways. Anyways, they have these at Bucky's. Yeah, I was. Let's see, my mom and aunt came out to visit and we took them to a Buc -ee's because that's what you do when you have people coming from out of town to visit. Yeah, we don't take them to Six Flags anymore. No, who goes to Six Flags? Six Flags? them Buc -ee's. We're like, hey, do you want to go have a picnic at a gas station? And then they look at you like you're fucking psycho. And f***g like, no, no, no, no, no, I don't think you understand. So we took them there. And now it is a standard that is required to go to Bucky's when my family comes out to visit. Yeah. And they are here from her. for the baby shower. Right. And we took them and we were walking through all of stuff and they had two mugs and they both cracked me up. And one of them cracked Jeff up so hard, like he belly laughed and like couldn't stop laughing. And then we were walking through Bucky's and he kept going. So I. Episode 23 (27:56.85) He just kept laughing. Such a dad. my God. Is that that funny to you? And he's like, it was hilarious. Because, man. It was like, do you ever wonder if? no, I'm going to mess it up. I could probably find it on here. Yeah, we'll find it later. We'll find it. And he thought it was the greatest thing ever. So like everybody bought all their stuff. We didn't buy the mugs. Everybody went out to the car. But then naturally. I was pregnant. I had to go back into the bathroom and my mom is the, yep, I'll go with you cons. Always love it. Never, never have to. Are you going to come? Like I just have to say that I have to pee and she's like up and moving with me already. So I'm back in. That's a girl's girl right there. Yeah. For real. For real. We went back into the, into the Bucky's and I bought both Jeff and I, the mugs. These are one of those mugs that just, they feel. good in the hand. It's like a thick mug. They're heavy. They're like Ron Swanson, like sturdy cup. Like that big jug. Yeah. You're going to knock somebody over the head and bury them in the backyard. It's a good mug, but it also feels good in your hand. And I'm about that. I am a bad offender of just buying a mug for whatever it says. how it looks and it not fitting right in my hand. And I hate that, but these mugs, 10 on 10, would recommend. I don't know if they get hot in the microwave. I don't think that I've ever microwaved one of these mugs. I mean, it says microwave safe. Because you know how sometimes they be getting real f***g hot and you burn your hands. I don't know if this is one of those. I mean, if the handle works right, it should be fine. Yeah. That's my only tidbit that I've never used in the microwave. So I don't know how hard it gets. But as far as coffee and tea, I've never been disappointed. OK. I mean, I like it. It's funny. Yeah. And in general, I like this brand because I've seen it at Bucky's. I haven't seen mugs. But I've been there during like Christmas time and they'll sell everything. Yeah. They'll sell ornaments and this brand. I'll say it like you. Episode 23 (30:19.57) L. Arroyo. There you go. This brand essentially is, what would you call that? Not a marquee sign. no, but it is kind of like a marquee. Like an old school marquee, like what you see at like a drive -in. Yeah, with the like... The slide in the letters. Yeah, the slide in letters. And they always have something just funny. And I've seen their ornaments and I've seen their books where they have... the funny sayings on their marquee signs. I haven't seen the books. I've seen like the coasters. I think they even have jewelry and shirts. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. See? I've seen the books. Yeah. So this this place in Texas, because it's a place, I guess they just come up with the best stuff. They're fantastic. I get so excited when it pops up on my Instagram. I'm never disappointed. let me see that mouse. I'll see if I can find the one that Jeff almost died to. It was hilarious. I can't see. Might be a coaster. Nope. Not a coaster. I have a feeling it might take you a while. Yeah. Because they had six volumes of their books. They had six volumes? Yeah. God. So they they come up with a lot. Damn. I don't even. We'll find it later. Yeah, we'll find it later because it was hilarious. they have salsa? Man, they're versatile. know that they had salsa? How man... How does Terry McConkey say it in Tacoma 5? He doesn't say salsa, right? No. I can't remember. Is it supposed to be like seltzer? He's like, no, salsa. Something. It's something. I can't remember. Yeah. He's like, that's what I said. Salsa. Salsa. Salsa. No, salsa. Yeah. Salsa. That's what I said. Episode 23 (32:31.314) So yes, I like this brand. I definitely want to try their salsa now. That looks delicious. There's like big chunks in it. Yeah, that's the best kind of salsa. I mean, OK, so I shouldn't say that. There are different levels of salsa. I like the chunky salsa, but I also do like the not super chunky salsa because sometimes you just like, you know, you know. I mean, I stay away from spicy stuff, but yeah, sure. Yeah. no, I don't like the spicy ones. OK, I am way too white. Way too white, Priscilla. Yeah, well... My palate can't handle that. My palate should and I can't and I'm a disappointment to my family. But did you grow up eating this kind of food? I tried. Hey. It was in my household. I just don't... At least you tried. I tried. The spiciest thing that we had in Michigan was like Taco Bell. Yep. The face says it all. I mean, they had spicy sauces. Like that was something that was the top, top of the spice. OK. Midwesterners don't do spice. That's fair. I'll give you that. This is not your fault. Salt and pepper. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. As I gently let Loren down so she can cry her eyes out. I forget. Cole and I recently went to... Tiger Woods, putt -putt place that they recently opened up in our area. I didn't even know that was a thing. Yeah, it's a thing and I forget the name and it probably won't come to me. Pop Stroke. Wow. Pop Stroke? Wow. I remembered. Yeah, Pop Stroke. So. Pop a nut? Sure. So we went to Pop Stroke for his birthday and we were meeting both of our families there. and him and I got like some chips and queso just to kind of like feed ourselves before everyone else got there. And tell me why the queso was soup. No. Yeah. Priscilla's saying it's so... It's so true. No. It's really sad. I've never been so sad as like a Texan. I was disappointed. Did you take it back? No, because that's how they make it. You ate it? Episode 23 (34:58.61) We had to. We were hungry. There was no other option? There's no other option. Really? That's all they had? You want to know what happened after? Yeah. My parents ordered nachos. Girl, there was no queso to be found. It was like all at the bottom because it was watery, so I had nothing to hold on to. no. So it was mostly like dried meat on top and I was like, cool. Love that. Ew. Yeah, it was sad. Ew, David. Ew, David, ew. Ew. OK, I'm going to bring up my stuff because I can't wait. OK, are you ready? Yes. I bring you Mojo Jojo. Mojo Jojo. my goodness. OK, so I have been seeing these crocheting kits and I have been interested because I always want to learn how to crochet. I got to name what it is though first. yes. Mm -hmm. Go ahead. For the people that can't see us because we're not posting the videos yet. Yeah. Yeah. I'm showing Loren. I'm showing Loren the Mojo Jojo crochet kit from Woobles that's how you say it? Woobles. Yeah. I think I would have said Wobbles. Well, there's two O's though. What are you talking to? Okay, yes. A dyslexic one. What are you going to do? Mix up one O with the other? Yeah. I would still be in them. Woobles. Woobles. Yes. Two O's. Wobbles. You just deleted a whole letter. What are you talking to, Priscilla? Anyways. One of my coworkers sent me a screenshot of an email that they received today, and I read it as Love Kevin. His name was Kevin Love. You're over here like, ooh, Kevin likes you. I literally got up to go talk to the coworker and then I told him and he looked at me like I was... Insane and then I just walked back to my desk like and man Just walk, you know, yeah, I know, you know, I can't think of what his name was or the show but Arrested development. Yeah. Yep. Mm -hmm. You know how like he just yeah and walks back Yeah, that's why I did I did that back to my desk and then I was Episode 23 (37:23.954) equally upset because nobody got that. this is the life that I live. I love that show, though. It's a good one. But yeah. OK, so I brought you Mojo Jojo crochet kit from Woobles because for many different reasons. One, Woobles is a great, great, great company if you want to learn how to crochet. So this is coming from someone who on a whim was like, I'm going to learn how to crochet because I can't because I'm an adult. And let me tell you how much difficulty I had. Really? Figuring out how to do it because every video tutorial I would watch did not understand how to really start at the beginning. They would just kind of go and I'd be like, okay, cool, but I don't know what that means. yeah. wait, you lost me. What did they just do there? They covered their hands. I don't know. And then they would like skip parts and then just suddenly end up with like a whole thing. I'd be like, what? What? How did you connect that? Where did that come from? Like I just, I could not understand. And then crocheting is very complex with a lot of abbreviations that mean things that are in a way universal, but also if you're not in the know, you're not in the know. So I was having a hard time. And then Woobles came up and I was like, well, I've seen these, these are kind of cute. I've seen the basic ones in stores like Target and Hobby Lobby and stuff. Yeah. Like you can pick up. They're basic sets of like, there's a little whale named Bjorn. I love Bjorn. I have him because he was my first one. They have like a little T -Rex, a duck, stuff like that. Right? A rabbit. Yeah. So those are their basics. And then you can get like their signature collab ones and they have like Snoopy, Pac -Man. wow. Yeah. Powerpuff Girls as I'm bringing to y 'all. And it's really cool because they literally send you everything you need. They send you all the yarn that's needed, all the colors. They send you the little crochet hook that you need. They send you the eyes. Do you open the little picture? Yeah, they send you the eyes, the attachments that are needed for stuff like the eyes. Episode 23 (39:45.298) little stitch markers that you'll need just to keep track and a yarn needle for like when you've got to like stitch on a face or something like that. So and like details. So they literally give you everything you could ever need just to make this. And then on top of all of that, all of that, they give you a code. You go to their website, you put the code in and it brings you a step by step. tutorial on how to make your product. Now, there's also a downloadable sheet. So if you get with it and you already know and you don't need this like explanatory way of doing it, you can just follow the pattern sheet and you're set to go. But me being still at the stage that I am, I just I need reminders. I need them to like walk me through it. So it's really cool. They literally they'll vocalize every little step they're doing. They make sure that the camera can see every little thing that they do. They explain how they can read stitches and why you're far along in a certain way. If you mess up, maybe this happened. And then they have a little question mark symbol at the bottom. When you click that, you can find almost anything that went wrong. Like, hey, why am I missing five stitches? And it'll be like, you probably did this. Try doing this or whatever. It's really, really cool and intuitive. So, I love this. I started with Bjorn and I was like, Bjorn's pretty cool. I want to do this again. So then I went in and I got Blinky from Pac -Man. That's the white ghost. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So I got Blinky, did Blinky. Pretty dope. So then, I don't know. Okay. This was a bit of a failure story, but they had a Harry Potter collab. And so who did I pick? I picked Dumbledore because he had a cool hat. Naturally. And I was like, I want the hat. Attracts. Attracts. But I didn't finish him. So he's still in progress and he's somewhere in this house. It's fine. So then that was kind of the end of my journey for a while. And I was like, whatever. Then I saw Mojo Jojo. Let me tell you, Mojo Jojo, he he speaks to my soul, not because of his evilness or his deep need to be loved, but his outfits. Episode 23 (42:08.018) my God. He has great fashion. I mean, who else is green, blends it with some purple, a cape and ultimately ties it all up with white go -go boots. I mean, you're not wrong. I love Mojo Jojo just because his name. And then there's that. Like, how can you not? Like, I get that he's the bad guy. Yes. But it's so funny. Mojo Jojo. Exactly. He's so cute. I love it. And he's got a cute little dome. And it's nostalgia. Yeah, exactly. man. It's nostalgic. Yeah, I loved who was who was your proud who was your proud girl? I was always OK. I was definitely always stuck between Blossom and Bubbles. I I loved Buttercup, but like she was a little too rough and tumble for me. And I think. I don't know. I was always stuck in between Blossom and Bubbles. I can see that. I just I could connect with both. Yeah. Really well. I can see that. Yeah, I can definitely see that. Buttercup was my f**king girl. I already knew it. I don't even think it really had to say it for you. But for everybody else out there, Buttercup was my homegirl. Bubbles was just so adorable and cute, though. I think I had a keychain. I think I had key chains of Bubbles and Buttercup. I don't think that I got the key chain for Blossom, but I love me some powder puff girls. Loved it. Classic days. I actually got to tell a coworker the other day because I mentioned how I got Mojo Jojo. you did get him? Yeah, so I got him. He's in progress. I've just got his body down. I'm working on his face. Okay. But... I was telling a coworker how I was going to get him in our intern was with us and she goes, you probably have to tell her who the Powerpuff Girls are. And I was like, no, dude, they rebooted it. And she goes, what time out? Wait, what? you didn't know? Priscilla, I'm pretty damn sure they're OK. Am I wrong? Because there is no I don't think I'm wrong. Hold up. Wait a minute. Let me put some pimping in it. If this is real. Episode 23 (44:30.93) I'm telling you, I think they rebooted Powerpuff Girls. Because I saw something about it and I was like, they look different now. I'm telling you. I'll be so excited. You don't even have to keep typing. Yeah, see? There was a couple different talkings. But it looks like 2016. And then I feel like there was a more recent one. I swear, I can't be that crazy. No, I believe you. I just didn't hear about it. That doesn't... Just because I didn't hear about it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Yeah. So I'm sure it didn't, maybe it didn't stick like I thought it might. But I do recall just seeing it like pop up a bunch. And then I think this is the reboot. Yeah, 2016 to 2023. wow. It just died. Yeah, because the font was different. I think I saw something on TikTok or something. And I was like, that font, that's not the OG. So they... Episode 23 (45:41.554) They tried to redo it. And then they tried to do a live action one at one point. Okay, so... I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm a little over the live action of everything. I think at that point, that's when they realized because they didn't go through with it. It was just like, this is not meant to be live action. This is Powerpuff Girls and it's cute and it's a cartoon. Do you know who my favorite villain was? Princess Morbucks. She was the girl in their class that like wanted to be their friend and they didn't or maybe they didn't want to be her friend. I don't remember. She was being mean. She was mean. And then so she showed up in like an all gold suit, little Iron Man suit. And I was just like, I mean, like daddy's money bought everything. Yeah. And I was like, listen, that's terrible. But also got good fashion. So moral of the story, whether you're good or evil, if you are fashionable, you are going to win Priscilla over. It's not hard. That's all that I'm hearing right now. That's all that I'm hearing. So this is awesome. I once upon a time, I did know how to crochet. Yeah. My aunt used to crochet. OK. So you had someone actually teach you. Yeah. So my mom's twin crocheted. Yeah. And she made scarves. and we had an ungodly number of scarves. Like, I mean, you live in Michigan, so you need them. You're freezing. And her mom, so my grandma knitted Afghans. Yeah. So every single one of us growing up when we were a baby, she knitted everybody their first Afghan. So, but I guess the way that my grandma crocheted and the way that... my aunt crocheted or different. They didn't do it the same way. So then my aunt was like, I don't understand how your grandma does it. I just do it this way. So then I had my aunt teach me. So then I started making scarves with my aunt. I was probably like 12 or 13, but it's one of those things that just got erased. Yeah. If you let it go for too long, it's gone. That's why I had to start watching the videos again, because I was like, ooh, I don't remember how I'm doing this. Episode 23 (48:08.37) Well, so on this topic though, Cole sent me today a little Woobles limited edition, right? And it was a coffee cup. With a cute little smiley face and I was like, that's cute. I can picture it in my head. Yeah, it was a little yellow mug with coffee in it. So I was like, that's so cute. And then I was like, okay, enough. Anyways, I move on. And then I didn't realize... I gave the algorithm ammo. God. So the algorithm at that point was like, girl, I know what you need in your life. And about 25 minutes later, it popped up. This. my God. If that doesn't have Priscilla written all over it, I don't know what the f*** does. You bought it, right? I did. Yeah. I'm showing Loren a little family of cacti. they're so cute. Each little like there's a succulent and then three cacti and they're all different. They're all separate. This is a bundle. So you can buy them separately. The bundle name. Prickly, Prickle your fancy bundle. I love it. And they had they have one. that's the coffee mug. That's a coffee mug. And then they have a second bundle with like one less cacti and a cactus in it. And that one's called We'll Never Desert You. Dessert You. Dessert You. Dessert. Episode 23 (49:50.834) back up, go back up. I want to see them. man. Yeah. No, you did right. I think the family of four is better than the family of three for sure. If you get the three, you don't get this guy. Yeah. He's like the classic cactus. He holds the family together, man. Yeah. Look at those arms. They're so welcoming. Come here. Come here. Bring it in. I'm ready to hug somebody. So yeah, I'm a big fan. I love it. and each one, like I said before, comes with everything you need. You're going to have so many crochet needles. I know I already do. So here's OK, another fun thing. Yeah. Not only do they send you like a crochet needle with every pack, but usually they're themed. So sometimes they're not. These are like color themed, right? But when I got Pac -Man, it came with a black one with little ghosts all over it. For real. Yeah. Actually, I think that one just had Blinky all over it because it was the White Ghost. And then when I got Harry Potter, I got a purple one with Harry Potter stuff all over it. And then when I got Mojo Jojo, I got a bright green one with Mojo Jojo all over it. So I was like, you know what? I may be getting a bunch of them of the same size. You're going to start collecting. Yeah, but I think it's really cool how they're actually themed. Yeah. That makes it so much more fun that they do that. Yeah. But yeah, so this is like a limited edition one. And I was like, yeah, I got to do it. And here's your coffee mug, Loren. So cute. I know. He's so happy. He is. Because he's coffee. Because he's coffee. and with Mojo Jojo, they also had a Hello Kitty collection. OK. And so one of the characters... you could get an add on that was a star so you could hold the star. I was like, I don't want the character, but I want that star. So I got Mojo Jojo a star. nice. So I still gotta make it. Okay. So I'm doing a lot and not making a lot. It's okay. You gotta start somewhere. But it's okay because I can take it to work and I can just do that while I watch. I don't know. I watch Hulu on my lunch breaks and I think right now I'm on Catfish. I'm watching Catfish. Okay. Yeah. Episode 23 (52:09.362) So I'll just do that. I love that crocheting is coming back and I think this is something fun and easy and it's something that is that a llama? Yeah, there's a llama. Adorable. But it's something fun and easy that you could do. That was a fat cup. We're looking at a photo of someone's completed mug and it's like chunky. He chubby. I love it. He's so cute. But yeah, no, I like this. I think it's fun. And so price range for each individual one, I'm seeing that they're ranging from like 30 to 40 dollars. Yeah, I would say on average. Yeah, for one is definitely around 30. Now, if we go, we're looking at limited edition and collabs and whatnot. Those are going to be way more expensive. But if we go to the kits and let's say we go to like a bestseller. The dinosaur. The dinosaur is like 25 to 30. I think the ranges just depend if you, if you already have a hook, maybe. cause that was my next question. Yeah. it looks like it's the same price, but yeah. So the dinosaur is like 30 bucks and I think all of them just about are $30 for one individual. And then they only get pricier. Like here they have the Phoenix crochet hook kit and that I believe is because of Harry Potter. I want to say that's what started that one. I don't know. well, it's intermediate. It's not a beginner one. It's probably because the wings. Yeah. Actually, he'd be surprised. I think it's going to be the tail. I think the tail and curling it is what makes it harder. because the wings. I did something similar to that with Bjorn and he was still a beginner. OK. Yeah. What different levels do they have? So they have that. Beginners, intermediate, and I guess that's kind of like the two main ones. And then you get limited edition, which starts getting a little harder too, just depending on what they are. Okay. The intermediate, yeah, they got some tough ones. Like, they have a llama. my goodness. Yeah, so they have a llama and he's just so freaking cute. Look at the cow. I know, I was looking at the cow and the dragon made me freaking giggle. Episode 23 (54:35.09) Yeah, they have a red dragon. Here's that phoenix. The purple dragon is also pretty dang cool. These are really cute. It kind of makes me want to do one. I'm just saying we could do it together. Yeah, these are these are awesome. Now the kangaroo. Yeah, I saw that one too. He's adorable. I do love the llama just because he's got a bunch of like curls everywhere. Yeah. Little lumpy. I'm trying to... On the way to daycare, we pass by a house and they have some llamas. So like every morning, Reeves and I just like scream llama. So now I have like... So my brother, he likes llamas. So we always teased him and we started buying him on Christmas like llama stuff. So like my mom got him like a llama ornament and then it just escalated. Like I bought him one of those shirts that you like turn inside out and put over your head. And it says like, I'm a llama. my God. It has like a llama on it. I didn't know those shirts existed. Yeah, I didn't either. And then I found one was like, yeah. But so then once it came to where we had Reeves, my mom found him like a little llama itty bitty thing for when he was a baby. It was like a little ceramic thing. So love llamas. Yeah. Love llamas. It's fun to say. Right. I started to try to get Reeves to watch Emperor's New Grooves. yeah, girl, because that needs to become its favorite movie at some point. I'm getting a little burnt out on Monster Link. Yeah. Got to switch it up. Yeah. Too many Disney movies out there. It's just he knows what he wants and he doesn't have the attention span to last very long. So then it's just like, no, monsters, monsters, monsters, monsters. Have you put on the Monsters University show? So we are familiar with Monsters Inc, Monsters University, and Monsters at Work, which is the show. Yeah. And I have watched all of them multiple times. I'm pretty sure Jeff and I could put on a production of Monsters Inc. Yeah. Like, and we were up north visiting my family and he asked to put Monsters on. And my grandpa was like, how do I do that? Episode 23 (56:58.162) The reason why Reeves asked is he went upstairs and my grandparents have the VHS of monsters. And I was like, Grandpa, do you have a VCR? And he's like, yeah, I don't know if it f***g works. And I was like, can we try? And he's like, can't you do something on the smart TV? And I was like, time out. You have a smart TV? Yeah. What? So we just downloaded our Disney. Plus, and we put it on their TV and my grandpa stopped what he was doing and started watching the movie with Reeves. He's like, I've never seen this one before. As I am reciting it line for line, it was hilarious. But yeah, we we know all the monsters. We just started to open up to cars. Yeah. And to light year. OK, so we're getting there slowly, but surely. But I I tried. Ember's no groove. Also Lilo and Stitch. I tried Lilo and Stitch. I thought that he would be able to relate and connect to Stitch because he is Stitch. But it's got great jams. Yeah, it didn't keep his attention. OK, not yet. Not yet. Well, we'll get there. Yeah, I'm sure we'll get there. But we're just not there yet. Well, here I have brought you everything I've got for Woobles I... extra love their how to train your Wooble bundle, which is a purple dragon and a treasure chest. That's adorable. Yeah. So I'm a big, big fan. I have sharks. Yeah. Mama shark and a baby shark on your shark. Get set, go. They're good with the names. Yeah. So, yeah, I'm there's an avocado. Yeah, there's an avocado. my goodness. Yarn apetit. that's adorable. Yeah, I'm for this. This is adorable. Yeah. Yeah, they're collabs. Here we go. I think all of them are right here and it's like, let's see, Minecraft. That's a newer one. Powerpuff Girls. I guess it. yeah, there we go. Powerpuff Girls. Hello Kitty. Episode 23 (59:19.634) Hogwarts. Yeah, Hogwarts in general. And I almost bought Lord Voldemort because he looks so funny. Like he just he looks like the Harry Potter puppet pals Voldemort. He looks like, my goodness. What was that kid in the diaper? That superhero. What? you know, that book growing up. Captain Underpants. Yeah. Tell me why his head doesn't look like that. He looks like Captain Underpants and the snake he has next to him looks like poop. Literally. It literally looks like poo. I love it. You can get Dobby too with a sock. He's a lot cuter here than he is, I can tell you, in the movie. It's called a filter, Loren. They smoothed out all the wrinkles. Listen, they're not going to be able to find people. If they're just using filtered pictures. A lot of missing people. And look, look at little Dumbledore with this hat. that's cute. It's a cute hat. He's got curls, too. He's got long hair. So, yeah, this is it. They got all kinds of stuff, dude. I know. peanuts. Yeah, of course. Look at little woodstock. my goodness. Yeah, man. Yeah, Pac -Man. It's great. He's got the cherry. Yeah. They went all out, I'm telling you. And then they sell accessories for all your little dudes. So like they sell hats and jackets and fruit and all this stuff. Like they are letting, my God, they have a whole graduation like cap and gown in case, I don't know, you wanted to embody you and your graduation. I can't remember all the Pac -Man posts. Inky, blinky, pinky. What's the random? I just thought you were making them up at this point. no, I'm pretty sure it's inky, blinky, pinky. Aky, breaky heart. The other one has an actual name. I can't remember. I don't know, but here's a Halloween one. There's a ghost Frankenstein. That has your name written all over it. A bat, a cat. I know what you're getting next. Yeah. Hint, hint, wink, wink. Yeah. Episode 23 (01:01:44.466) I'm Cole, if you're listening. Right. So that's it. I'm done. I support this. Thank you. Especially since I already bought it. Well, yeah, I would have told you if it was a bad purchase, but I think this is fun and it's making you use your mind and your brain and staying active. Hand eye coordination. Hand eye coordination. Learning something new. Not staring at a screen. Well, OK, but I am because I'm learning, but it's fine. I'm also staring at the yarn. Yeah. Yeah. See? And you know what? I used one when I did Bjorn. Yeah. I went to Hobby Lobby after and I bought giant ass yarn. To start making a giant Bjorn. nice. Yeah. So where are you going to put all of these? I don't know. OK. Cool. Cool. Cool. OK. So the cacti. I'm thinking at work. OK. And Mojo Jojo. Maybe also at work. Yeah. I just need someone somewhere to see it. No, I totally understand. So I don't know, maybe I'll start swapping them out. Like I'll make a seasonal network. Yeah, that would be cute. Plus then you don't have to worry about them getting like dusty or anything like that. True. Because that's not something that's that's going to collect dust and it's not going to easily be cleaned. Yeah, that's gross. David. are you ready? Are you ready to? I'm ready. I'm ready. Super duper Uber final one super duper. What you say? Uber Uber like OOB are. I don't know. Don't make me spell fake words. I didn't make you spell anything. You took it upon yourself. You know. Kido key. God. I bring you the Plato zoom zoom vacuum. It's so fun to say Plato zoom zoom vacuum. Zoom zoom zoom zoom. OK, so you have not. You remember playing with Play -Doh? Yeah. Probably the last time that you played with Play -Doh, you picked up all of your pieces and then you took your Play -Doh and you rolled it all over the table to pick up all your pieces. Yeah. Because we were older when we did that. Two year olds don't do that. What did they do? They just f***g send it. And then there's just Play -Doh everywhere stuck to everything. And then he gives you a ball of Play -Doh and he goes, here you go. But it's stuck. Yeah. Episode 23 (01:04:12.242) and you can't really get it and it's everywhere. So this Plato zoom zoom vacuum. Yeah. Is literally a little vacuum for Plato and you like roll it over all the little pieces that didn't pick up and it cleans up the vacuum. I mean, the play it out. You take like a little empty playdough container. Yeah. You put it on the inside and that's like your bag. yeah. And then when you pick up all the little pieces like this little girl had done made a mess and this little boy done done the same thing. huh. And it cleans it all up. I saw this and was like, take my money now. This is awesome. We don't let Reeves play with play dough that often. OK, but he's getting more and more into it. And the first couple of times, Jeff just played with him and they literally just like took it out of the container. Yeah. Rolled it in the ball. and then like put it back in the container and Regan was like, OK, all done. And I was like, all right, that's no big deal. Yeah. But then like the next time I played with it with him, like I started doing stuff and I don't know if that was a mistake or not. I don't know if Jeff was doing that with him because then he was like, we can do stuff. So then like he started breaking off little balls and then like they were falling on the floor. and all that, and then there was just play dough everywhere. And I'm at that stage where. OK, like just it is what it is, like if it's stuck to my couch. Yeah, it sucks. But I'm at that toddler stage where I've been so beat down that I'm just like, it's fine. You can make a mess. I don't care. I'll clean up later. So with this little toy, he could clean it up himself because. My kid loves the vacuum. OK. Yeah. I mean, it looks interesting. I don't know how well it works. I have not bought one yet because, again, he doesn't play with Play -Doh enough for me to justify. I mean, it's twenty one ninety nine. It's not like breaking the bank. and there's a two dollar and twenty cent coupon. Yeah. So that's even better. Do we want a silent moment so we can play the go for it? There's the video. OK. OK. Episode 23 (01:06:57.938) pretty legit, right? Okay, so this person is in front of us about to, we probably won't, won't include all these sounds in video because there's no words. wait. So this is just for you and me, but okay. that's a mess. that's okay. So keep that part away from him. This kit literally, you make a mess and clean it up. Yeah. Episode 23 (01:07:34.898) I mean, I don't love how it's getting stuck in the wheels, but that's okay. That's okay. Episode 23 (01:07:44.078) they're little stars. I like how it comes with molds everywhere. I didn't realize we were making a mess. Sensor replay, that makes sense. Now I feel like I do need to buy this. Yeah, right? Did you make a broom? And then it shows him how to sweep it. Yeah! Episode 23 (01:08:19.058) I can't color so many molds. I do too. Episode 23 (01:08:31.282) She didn't do shit. Does not vacuum well. Okay, but maybe because you're going backwards. she didn't put the thing in there. That's why. Yeah. And she keeps going back. I don't think you're supposed to go backwards. I'm super excited to share with you the Plato vacuum and cleanup set. My kids have been really excited about this one. Okay, so let's see. So it comes with this cute little vacuum with little molds that you can make on the top and then the sides. And then after you vacuum up, which it doesn't require any batteries, it's sort of like a sweeper. Yeah. That makes sense. Roll it over. See, that did fine. It does take some up into it. You can see that this would spin around. yeah. She kept going. Yeah. It doesn't take everything up, but it does take a good amount. You just open up the back. You just can't go backwards. Yeah. Which makes sense. Yeah. I mean, it's not actual suction. Exactly. It doesn't have any batteries or anything. my god. Okay. It's like a little saw and pepper thing, honestly. I might have to buy this. Episode 23 (01:10:00.306) Set so you can press the dough in and make different shapes. That's so cool. It's like bacon and tacos. it's all food related. Yeah. There's kitchen. Makes total sense. A spray bottle. Episode 23 (01:10:19.186) And then you press this closed and it sprays the water out. Bruh. And then also has this fun roller. Episode 23 (01:10:29.906) He's a full set. Honestly, I just saw the video of the vacuum. Episode 23 (01:10:49.778) OK, so the video that I saw was literally just the vacuum and they literally just did like one run of all this Play -Doh bits and pieces. I did not realize that the set was like a whole Play -Doh cleaning set. This is right up Reeves Alley. He would f***g love this shit. So OK, so for reference, because we're not going to include any of the audio because it was a lot of just music. So it won't make any sense listening to just music. That's a good point. Yeah. But for reference, the videos we saw were really helpful. Yeah. What they broke down, one, how to use the vacuum, which is because it's not battery operated or suctioned or anything, it's just got a sweeper at the bottom, scooping stuff up. So you just have to make sure you keep going forward and it'll pick up the pieces. Yeah, don't go back. That did not work well. Not for that one person. I don't know why she kept trying. Yeah. And then like... A lot of the videos showed that there's a lot of molds for it. A lot of molds. And what the key thing for this one is they're trying to encourage making a mess and cleaning it up. I thought that was nice. Yeah, I do too. Because it's one thing for your kid to make a mess and just walk away, but to have a toy to clean it up. It's a whole other thing. Now, my kid, he's really good about cleanup, like super duper good. Like he'll even start to sing the song when we start cleaning up. Yeah. And he's good whether he's playing with his toys. He's good if he's in the bathtub, he'll pick up all of his toys, living room playing with like he's not the greatest of picking up his kitchen. But like when he's done eating, the boy takes his dirty dishes and puts them in the sink or he takes his dirty plate or dirty napkin or whatever. it is and puts it in the trash. The boy is good about cleaning up after himself. So this would just make it more fun for him because then he's cleaning up, but with Play -Doh, one of the things you squeeze out the Play -Doh out of this thing that looks like a broom. So then you make a Play -Doh broom. Comes with a little sweep pan so you can sweep it in. Super cute. A spray bottle. Yes. I like the spray bottle. Episode 23 (01:13:06.642) Me too. I don't know what that little thing is to make the confetti all over the place, but I want to play with that. I feel like that's like a salt and pepper shaker kind of deal. Like, you know, like when someone comes by, they're like, would you like some freshly grated pepper? And then they like, yeah, they twist it onto your plate. Yeah, I feel like that's what that is right there. Yeah, I like this. I think this is fun. I would. This is definitely I'm wanting to buy this even more now. Like I thought the bagging was cool, but now this. freaking set is awesome. It's pretty neat. I'm a fan. This is a good find. Thank you. Yeah. Fully support it. Yeah. And I, you started off with, do you remember Play -Doh? And I was about to say, girl, I remember how Play -Doh tastes. So my aunt had a daycare and she would make her own Play -Doh that was non -toxic because so many of the kids would eat it. I thought Play Doh already was non -toxic. So I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be, but the way like she made it, like it like legit, legit had nothing in it. I mean, it's one. Also, it was a lot cheaper to make it. And you made it with Kool -Aid packets. That's how she got the flavor. I just said flavored playdough. The color. Really trying to get kids to eat that one. Because I know Playdough made it salty because of the whole kids trying to eat it. So they were like, OK, if we make it really salty and gross, you won't eat it. And you know what? I worked on me. I didn't need it. I never ate Playdough. The smell is very distinct. I feel the judging. No, I'm not judging. I'm not judging at all. Like lots of kids eat Playdough. I didn't try to eat it, but I definitely looked at it like, no. And then it's understandable because a lot of Play -Doh things that you do, you make ice cream. Yeah. Like my niece, she got ice cream. I meant food. Do you make food? My niece got an ice cream whole kit that was Play -Doh. Like, look at that. Yeah, like we're looking at a kitchen based one where you make mini cookies and burgers. Yeah, like it's. Episode 23 (01:15:26.034) It's all food based, so it's easy to understand where kids get confused. Like, hey, yeah, I can eat this. my God. What? Do you know what core memory just popped up? What? I remember for a birthday being taken to Toys R Us. And I went to, I guess, the Play -Doh aisle. And I remember like, I need to get something Play -Doh. I need to get something Play -Doh. And I remember I came across, I didn't get it, but it just looked fascinating to me because I remember the infomercials for it. And it was like the dentist, Plato said. The one that the mouth open and add a giant toothbrush. Yeah, I remember that. And I don't know why, but that just became a core memory where because it's still in there, it's still in my noggin. But I remember that feeling of one, feeling like I have endless options at Toys R Us. And two, knowing that it was going to be something Play -Doh. And I guess I picked whatever other option there was. I have some vague memories of what it was. I'm sure my mom can remember. But yeah, it was between that or the dentist set because I just thought it was so cool that you were making teeth, you were putting the teeth in, then you were drilling into the teeth. Not really fully realizing you don't even... going to the dentist because it's scary. And you want to play with this? Like, there's thankfully a reason I didn't pick it. I loved going to the dentist. Of course you did. I just, I remember when they would like have to numb me and they used a saying, they'd be like, okay, I'm going to put a big bubble in your mouth. And like, what? And that was them trying to distract me for the fact that they're injecting me. So that dentist... who was a kid's dentist, that's the phrasing he would use. To make you think something else was happening. And then next thing you know, your mouth is numb. And that, you know, you'd be like, okay, I don't know what you did. You said something about a bubble? Okay. I don't really remember a lot of my cavities from when I was a kid. I didn't get a lot of them when I was a kid. Yeah. All of the ones that like I really remember are from when I'm a grown ass adult. Yeah. And they're just endless. Episode 23 (01:17:45.362) Yeah, tell me about it. Yay, adulting. Yay. All right. Well, I think this whole episode has been a great trip down memory lane. Yeah, for sure. Now I want to go buy some Play -Doh, I can tell you that. Yeah. And I want to go work on my Woobles Yeah, that was awesome. I kind of want to watch Powerpuff Girls. Right. That just so much nostalgia. Right. I miss those days sometimes. I do too. We had it so good and so easy and we didn't even know it. Best cartoons out there. Man, the cartoons we grew up on. Just having a full network, cartoon network. Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon. And then some Disney Channel. I wasn't really that into it at that time. I wasn't really into Disney Channel either. Not until later, but in general, like for growing up at a time where we didn't have streaming services, that was our streaming service. It was... cartoons on demand. Do you know when we were visiting my family, my dad put Rocket Power on. Okay, someone at work brought that up yesterday. He quoted it. I forget what he quoted, but he quoted it and I just looked at him and like that sounded familiar and he goes, Rocket Power. Don't you remember? And I was like, I do. That and we tried to watch the Wild Thornberrys. Right. OK. And then when you think harder on that one, that one just like so you're telling me you have a jungle child. Yeah, I'm sad. Was it Eddie? I don't remember the name. I think it was Eddie. They saved him. Yeah, he saved him from the jungle. Eddie Edward Stewart, something like that. Something like that. Yeah. I can't remember. No, no. I don't know. But yeah, they quote unquote saved him. Yeah. It's like, wait, you just found a child that that. Jungle? What? Shit happens. I don't know. And a little girl who could talk to animals. Yep. So awesome. So normal. I loved that show. Good times. Hey, Arnold. my God. Yes. Yeah. Let's see. What else? Cat dog. Cat dog. That was a great one. huh. Episode 23 (01:20:03.154) I encouraged the cowardly dog. my God, I was about to say that next. That crazy little lady. I heard that they just made a game of. really? Yeah. Okay. Like a really good game. I'll give it a try. Okay. Yeah. Rugrats? Rugrats. Freaking loved Rugrats, man. Angelica was hilarious. Yes, she was. Cookie cookie cookie cookie cookie cookie cookie. my God. That does exist. It was Angelica. It is real. You proved it. I proved it. I proved it. Drive me crazy. my gosh. It was awesome. Our childhoods were great. They were 90s kids, man. 90s kids.
